Position Overview
As a Lead Product Manager for the Innovation Group, you will define and execute the product strategy for key innovation platforms and applications. You’ll report directly to the VP of Innovation & Technology, and collaborate daily with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to translate big-picture goals into actionable roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of high-impact solutions. Your role is to validate ideas through research and experimentation, prioritize features based on data and customer insights, and drive successful launches that advance our innovation objectives within the broader corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Vision & Strategy – Develop & refine a multi-year product vision that aligns with corporate strategy and market opportunity.
- Roadmap & Execution – Translate vision into a prioritized, detail‑rich product roadmap; work with engineering, design, and business to move it from concept to launch.
- Stakeholder Leadership – Partner with business unit leaders, customer success, marketing, sales, and engineering to surface needs, negotiate trade‑offs, and secure buy‑in.
- Metrics & Outcomes – Define KPIs, success metrics in line with broader objectives defined for the Innovation Group, and build dashboards for continuous measurement.
- Agile Enablement – Champion agile practices (sprints, retrospectives, backlog refinement) and coach cross‑functional teams.
- Product Discovery & Validation – Lead user research in partnership with design; prototype tests, and run data‑driven experiments to validate hypotheses before building.
- Team Mentorship – Mentor less senior PMs, foster a culture of growth, experimentation, and accountability.
- Innovation Culture – Build and grow the innovation organization : help to onboard and grow the team, set processes, and create a “fail fast, learn fast” mindset.
Desired First Year Outcomes
Deliver Initial Product Launches : Drive at least one major innovation platform from concept through MVP and into initial market launch, ensuring alignment with broader Innovation Group objectives.Establish Product Discovery & Validation Framework : Implement a structured process for user research, hypothesis testing, and rapid prototyping to accelerate innovation cycles and reduce risk.Advance AI Integration Strategy : Deliver clear implementation strategy for at least two high-impact AI use cases that enhance product workflows or customer experiences, demonstrating measurable value.Build Metrics & Reporting Infrastructure : Define KPIs and create dashboards for innovation projects to enable leadership visibility and data-driven decision-making.Foster Innovation Culture & Team Growth : Onboard and mentor junior PMs, embed agile practices, and cultivate a “fail fast, learn fast” mindset across the team.Achieve Cross-Functional Alignment for Launch Readiness : Secure stakeholder buy-in for prioritized roadmap items and deliver at least two successful product launches or major feature releases within the first year.Ideal Experience
10+ years of product management in fast‑moving tech or innovation orgs; 5+ years in a leadership role.Proven track record of launching successful productsExperience building and scaling an innovation or product organization (start‑up, enterprise, or incubator).Deep understanding of agile development, product discovery, and data‑driven decision‑making.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.AI Expertise : Strong understanding of classical AI (predictive analytics, optimization) and generative AI (LLMs, multimodal models).Ability to identify opportunities for AI integration in workflows and customer experiences.Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI API integration.Ability to thrive in ambiguity, make tough trade‑offs, and drive consensus.Preferred Experience
Familiarity with UX research, A / B testing, analytics toolsBackground in AV / streaming, live‑event tech, or infrastructure automationExperience with remote / distributed teamsAgile / SAFe certificationsExperience in healthcare or regulated industriesFamiliarity with ethical AI and compliance frameworksOther Personal Characteristics
