Overview

The Department of Pathology is seeking a Quality and Operational Improvement Engineer to revise, implement, evaluate and maintain the quality system management program at DeGowin Blood Center. The goal is to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies and to provide a safe, effective blood supply for patients and a safe donation process for donors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, review and manage the error management program for DeGowin Blood Center.
• Participate in document review, including quality assurance documents.
• Audit quality and operational processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Participate in the development and review of policies, processes and procedures related to the quality management program.
• Assist in the preparation and on-site hosting of external inspections.
