HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Technician in the chemical manufacturing industry in Detroit, MI!
Pay : $26–$28 / hour (0–5 hours of OT / week on average)
Shift : Monday–Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM to start; transitioning to a 12-hour rotating schedule within 6–12 months
Benefits : Full benefits package
About the Role :
We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to support daily operations by repairing and maintaining pumps, motors, valves, and facility systems. This is a hands-on role in a chemical manufacturing environment that requires flexibility as the shift will transition to a 12-hour rotation after the initial training period.
Key Responsibilities :
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and systems
- Perform preventive maintenance and support equipment installations
- Assist with facility repairs (lighting, plumbing, general upkeep)
- Work safely around chemicals like chlorine and ferric chloride
- Support plant startups, shutdowns, and emergency maintenance
