SQL Server DBA

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a REMOTE SQL Server DBA job for our direct client. In this role, you will be part of a fast-paced, high-performing technology team responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and developing database systems using Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) hosted on AWS. The ideal candidate is a skilled SQL developer with strong experience in data analysis, performance tuning, SSRS / SSIS development, and ETL processes.

SQL Server DBA Job Responsibilities :

• Design and maintain database structures including tables, stored procedures, views, triggers, and indexing strategies
• Develop, optimize, and tune SQL queries for performance in Microsoft SQL Server environments
• Build and maintain SSRS reports and SSIS packages
• Perform data profiling and collaborate with stakeholders to address data quality issues and business rule implementations
• Support and enhance internal ETL processes for standardizing data from disparate systems and formats
• Generate both scheduled and ad-hoc reports as needed
• Analyze and monitor database and system performance, identifying and implementing improvements
• Maintain accurate documentation of database structures, processes, and business logic
• Collaborate in an Agile team environment, participating in sprint planning and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide technical guidance to developers and ensure adherence to SQL development best practices
