Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 01 / 05 / 2026 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel RRT – Pediatrics | 13 Weeks | San Diego, CA Shift : 3×12 Days (7 : 00–19 : 00) License : CA RCP License required (pending OK) Requirements : At least 1 year of experience in a Level IV NICU or Level I Trauma facility Strong pediatric ICU skill set; able to work in two of three units : Level IV NICU, Level I PICU, or CTICU Experience with trachs, vents, suctioning, oxygen therapy Certifications : NBRC–RRT, BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), Advanced NRP (AHA) First-time travelers accepted Pending state license accepted Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per 4-week block (typically 2 full weekends) Day shift weekends = Sat & Sun Night shift weekends = Fri & Sat Patient Population : High-acuity pediatrics including floors, pulmonary unit, trauma, medical, PICU (with specialty gases), Level IV NICU, and CTICU (heart transplants).
