The I.T. Help Desk Intern #makeslivesbetter by providing support to other helpdesk staff, all while learning the support role of helping end users on a variety of issues along the way.
This is a full-time temporary position, with potential for regular placement. We will consider part-time availability with a set schedule.
A Day in the Life
- Provides technical assistance and support to helpdesk staff for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, hardware and phone equipment.
- Cleans and organizes IT areas of in-use equipment, helps with receiving of equipment and inventory of various IT equipment, and destruction and recycling / wasting of IT equipment.
- Aids in ticket creation and dispatch to appropriate individuals.
- Identifies and escalates situations requiring urgent attention.
- Handles various follow up and after ticket close items.
Must Have's
High School DiplomaProficient in Microsoft Office softwarePreferred to Have's
Associate’s degree or ongoing college level coursework in a computer related fieldPrevious help desk troubleshooting experience
