About Antone’s Famous Po’ Boys

Antone’s Famous Po’ Boys is a Houston institution — known for its iconic sandwiches, fresh ingredients, and deep local roots. Since 1962, we’ve brought Texas hospitality and Gulf Coast flavor to generations of loyal fans and new guests alike.

Today, Antone’s products reach over 600 grocery and foodservice outlets across Texas and Louisiana, yet our restaurants remain the heart and heritage of the brand. We’re proud of our legacy — and continuing to grow.

We’re looking for a dynamic, quality-oriented General Manager to lead our two Houston sandwich shop / restaurants, inspire great teams, and expand our catering and community presence. In addition , a growth opportunity for this role lies in leading an expansion of Antone’s catering, and other foodservice offerings made from our restaurant products. This potential exists not just in Houston, but across other Texas markets, leveraging our established distribution footprint and strong brand recognition.

Your leadership will directly influence Antone’s next phase of growth as we are taking a Houston classic statewide.

What You’ll Do

  • Be an integral part of a team, working with ownership to grow the two Antone’s sandwich shops for the future while honoring its Houston roots. A substantial remodeling of the sandwich shops is in the works, as well as review of operations, followed by improvements where needed.
  • Recruit, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team that delivers authentic, community-driven hospitality.
  • Oversee daily operations — staffing, scheduling, food safety, and cost controls. Drive financial performance through effective labor and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with Antone's senior management to execute brand and business initiatives.
  • Grow catering and off-premise sales through local partnerships and creative outreach.
  • Uphold brand standards in food quality, presentation, and service. Your responsibility ensures exceptional guest experiences, responding to feedback quickly and professionally.

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant GM in a fast-casual or QSR concept.
  • Proven ability to build strong teams and foster a culture of hospitality and accountability.
  • Strong business acumen with success managing P&L, labor, and food costs.
  • Energetic, hands-on, and community-driven in your leadership style.
  • Experience with multi-unit operations or catering preferred.
  • Ability to handle basic equipment and facility maintenance needs.
  • ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Bilingual English / Spanish communication is a plus, but not required.
