Job Summary :
The Revenue Cycle Implementation Specialist is responsible for supporting the end-to-end implementation of revenue cycle solutions for healthcare clients, including hospitals, physician practices, or health systems. This role ensures seamless onboarding of services and technology by collaborating with cross-functional teams, coordinating project tasks, managing timelines, and supporting clients through all phases of the implementation process—from discovery to go-live and transition to operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during implementation, ensuring consistent communication and status updates.
- Partner with internal teams (IT / Data Acquisition, HR, Operations, Training, Quality, etc.) to gather requirements, configure systems, and design efficient workflows.
- Develop and manage detailed implementation project plans and timelines; track progress and escalate risks or delays as needed.
- Facilitate discovery sessions and gather critical data such as payer contracts, client policies, and existing workflows.
- Coordinate and manage client system access needs, including submitting access requests, tracking approvals, and validating access for internal teams.
- Ensure proper setup of collection tool, denial workflows, and reporting infrastructure.
- Lead or support client training efforts on new systems, processes, and tools.
- Conduct system testing, validate setup accuracy, and resolve any configuration issues before go-live.
- Monitor early performance post go-live and partner with operations to resolve open items and ensure a smooth transition.
- Document implementation procedures, best practices, and lessons learned to improve future project success.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable regulations throughout the implementation process.
- Document all aspects of the project, including client decisions, system configurations, timelines, milestones, meeting notes, and outstanding issues.
Qualifications : Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, or related field—or equivalent work experience.2+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, implementation, or client services.Strong understanding of revenue cycle functions including registration, charge capture, coding, billing, AR collections, and denial management.Excellent project management and organizational skills.Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio); Smartsheet or project management tools a plus.Preferred :
Experience with healthcare systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech, HealthQuest or others).PMP, Lean Six Sigma, CRCR, or other relevant certifications.Experience working with outsourced and offshore RCM vendors or third-party billing providers.Key Competencies :
