Unit Specifics : Number of Beds : 46

Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Clinical Nurse Coordinators (charge nurse), RNs, LPNs, PCTs, Nurse Externs, Unit Clerks -staffing based on patient census)

Type of equipment : GE Apex Pro Telemetry box, Hoyer lift, Sara Steady, Baxter IV pumps, iMobile, Alaris PCA IV pump, Welch Allen Vitals machine, Glucometer

Documentation system : Meditech Expanse

Scheduling requirements : Every other weekend, three 12-hour shifts per week

Floating policy : May float to 3 South (post-surgical med / surg), or to PCU (to staff tele overflow)

Patient Experience requirements : At least two years med / surg experience

Certifications : Active nursing license in good standing (with compact if indicated), BLS required, ACLS preferred, current NIH (must be certified annually)
