About The Position

ONS / ONCC preferred

Must-Have :

• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required skills include starting and maintaining IVs, teletherapy, and care coordination

Description :

In this role, the RN will work with providers to ensure patients complete all necessary steps before starting radiation treatment.

The RN will help coordinate appointments and supplies.

They will triage side effects of treatment, including low blood pressure, pain, and nausea.

The nurse will start IVs and administer IV contrast as necessary.

Patient education on treatment and its duration will be a key responsibility.

This position requires strong skills in outpatient oncology and medication tolerance assessment.

The RN should be familiar with various types of cancer and associated care protocols.

Interdisciplinary support, including interpretation and social services, will be part of the care process.

The RN will also provide support for patients and their families throughout treatment.
