Aerotek's client is seeking a Mainline Utility Operator to join their team in the Timonium, MD area. Responsibilities include : performing daily equipment greasing, morning walk-arounds, and fluid checks; completing daily maintenance checklist to maintain equipment and preserve maintenance records; adjusting hand wheels and depressing pedals to control attachments such as blades, buckets, scrapers, and swing brooms; starting engines and operating machines such as bulldozers, excavators, graders, and backhoes; aligning machines and equipment with guidelines or hand signals from other workers; coordinating machine actions with other activities and positioning loads based on hand or audio signals from crew members; loading and moving dirt, rocks, equipment, and materials using trucks, tractors, power cranes, shovels, graders, and related equipment; driving and maneuvering equipment with blades to remove topsoil, vegetation, and rocks, and to level terrain; setting trench boxes and digging inside them while maintaining a safe work environment; excavating and grading trenches with precision for depth, slope, and stability; participating in morning huddles and toolbox talks with Foremen and Superintendents; and performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Essential Skills include : 5+ years of experience in mainline utility operations; proficiency in operating excavators, loaders, dozers, and other heavy equipment; and familiarity with blueprint reading and wet utility operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications include : experience in pipe laying or operating in the utility space is a plus.

Pay and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
