We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant to Construction Manager as Advisor to join our project team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundational understanding of construction processes and have proven experience utilizing modern construction management software to facilitate project documentation and progress tracking. This role works directly under the supervision of a Senior Construction Superintendent and is crucial for maintaining clear communication and compliance across all project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Data Management : Actively collect, organize, and document field data and job site progress using advanced construction software tools, primarily Procore and Bluebeam Revu . This includes daily logs, progress photos, material deliveries, and quality control documentation.
- Progress Documentation : Generate comprehensive job site progress reports for internal review and external distribution, ensuring accuracy in reporting the project's development against the master schedule.
- Software Utilization : Serve as the on-site specialist for selected project management and documentation software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) to streamline workflows related to submittals, RFIs, drawing markups, and project communication.
- Communication & Coordination : Maintain excellent communication channels with the Senior Construction Superintendent, subcontractors, and the project team. Relay critical field information and progress updates promptly and clearly.
- Design Compliance : Assist in coordinating construction sequence and development to ensure strict compliance with the project specifications and design documents provided by the Architect .
- Schedule Adherence : Monitor daily activities to ensure the construction process is moving in alignment with the planned schedule and proactively flag potential delays or deviations to the Senior Construction Superintendent.
- Administrative Support : Assist the Senior Superintendent with various administrative tasks, including meeting minutes, tracking closeout documentation, and managing digital files.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in construction project management, field engineering, or a similar role focused on construction documentation and progress tracking.Technical Proficiency : Demonstrable expertise in using Procore (e.g., Project Management, Quality & Safety modules) and Bluebeam Revu (e.g., studio sessions, quantity takeoff, annotations) is mandatory.Construction Knowledge : Solid understanding of typical construction sequencing and the overall development lifecycle required to achieve a constructed result.Communication : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences (site personnel, management, design team).Attention to Detail : Meticulous approach to gathering and documenting data, ensuring all reports and documentation are accurate and complete.Coordination Skills : Proven ability to coordinate tasks and information flow between the field, the office, and the design team (Architect / Engineers).Education : A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.This position reports directly to the Senior Construction Superintendent .
