About this Position

The Network Specialist II role focuses on maintaining and optimizing the City of Edmond's network infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure connectivity. Candidates will be responsible for tasks such as configuring and troubleshooting network systems, supporting network upgrades, and collaborating with other teams to resolve technical challenges. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a proactive approach to staying updated on emerging networking technologies. Ideal candidates will demonstrate both technical expertise and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

This role works Monday through Friday with some on-call work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• General knowledge equivalent to 2 years of college
• 4 years of related experience and / or training

Or equivalent combination of education and experience

People and / or project management
