Metropolitan Companies is looking for a Development Project Manager to join our team! The Development Project Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects in the process from agreement of sale to full permit approvals for Multi-Family Apartment complexes and Single-Family homes.  We have a competitive package that includes benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, short- and long-term disability), holiday pay, paid time off, bonus, 401k, and more. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all project management responsibilities in the approval / entitlement process from agreement of sale to full Permits / Municipal approvals. Projects will include Multi-Family Apartment developments.
  • Meet with required township and government officials and inspectors throughout the approval / entitlement and permitting phases.
  • Manage all third-party professionals (Engineers, Lawyers, Architects, etc.) throughout the approval and construction process.
  • Manage project bidding process, proforma and budget preparation for prospective and active projects for senior management review.
  • Act as a liaison between our General Contractor and the Owner / VP of Development.
  • Manage and report on project status utilizing internal management / financial systems.
  • Participate in networking opportunities to promote the success of Metropolitan Companies and increase the company’s network of industry professionals and land source contacts.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with a team and independently.
  • Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

    • Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years previous experience in project management, supervision on sites.
  • Flexibility in schedule as needed in order to accommodate municipal meetings, site related travel and oversight of projects.
