Job Description :

Job Title : COBOL Programmer - Consultant

Location : Onsite in Blythewood, SC 29016 (100% onsite through probationary period, then option for Hybrid schedule. Local or regional location SC, GA, NC will be preferred.)

Duration : 12 months contract (with possible extension)

Job Summary :

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Analyze the Phoenix II, Web Service, and Batch Business Applications.
• Take the lead in analyzing and troubleshooting assigned system problems.
• Propose solutions.
• Code, test, promote, and interact with impacted users ensuring that solutions meet requirements.
• Provide daily and weekly status updates to the Development Manager.

REQUIRED EDUCATION :

Prefer Bachelors Degree in Information Technology related discipline with 8 years of experience or minimum 10 years related experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS :

Not required but MS technical certifications will be factored in the selection process. MICROFOCUS certifications are a significant advantage.
