PROCESS ENGINEER (Decommissioning)
Location : Cambridge, MA - Fully Onsite
Type : 3-month contract (W2)
Pay : $95-$97.60 / hour

The opportunity :
Alphanumeric is hiring a Process Engineer to serve as the Engineering representative for the Binney Street site decommissioning project. You'll own technical deliverables, quality system transactions, and change controls to ensure a compliant, on-time decommissioning.
What you'll do :
- Resolve technical issues on behalf of the Decommissioning Execution Team.
- Provide technical inputs to issue / close discrepancies related to decommissioning execution.
- Drive closure of change-control action items tied to the decommissioning change control.
- Own the decommissioning quality systems activities within SAP (records, statuses, documentation).
- Review / approve executed protocols and associated discrepancies .
- Submit CMMS change requests to modify / retire assets undergoing decommissioning.
What you'll bring (must-haves) :
5-8+ years Process / Project Engineering in pharma / biotech or similarly regulated environment.Hands-on experience with facility / equipment decommissioning (or commissioning / qualification with exposure to retirement).Working knowledge of cGMP , change control , discrepancy / deviation management, and CAPA fundamentals.Proficiency with SAP (quality / asset records) and CMMS (e.g., Maximo, Blue Mountain, or similar).Strong technical writing : protocols, discrepancy reports, change-control documentation.Clear communicator comfortable presenting status & risks to leadership.Nice to have :
Experience in utilities / process equipment (HVAC, clean utilities, process skids) and retirement / lockout / tagout coordination.Familiarity with EHS considerations for decommissioning, including waste handling and contractor interfaces.Prior work with CSV / validation teams on protocol review / approval.Work setting :
