Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location : 43 New Scotland Avenue, Albany, NY 12208

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Nights – 3x12 Hours (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Schedule : Every other weekend; rotating holidays

Position Overview

The Labor and Delivery Unit at Albany Medical Center provides comprehensive maternal and neonatal care for high- and moderate-risk pregnancies. Nurses in this role are responsible for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient care, as well as immediate newborn assessment and stabilization.

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent L&D experience and current Epic charting experience . EFM certification through the National Certification Corporation or Intermediate AWHONN (issued within the past 3 years) is required at the time of submission. Navy blue scrubs are required.

Local candidates (as defined by AMC’s ineligible counties list) are not accepted .

Requirements

Licensure : Active NY RN License or Compact License – Required (must be in hand at submission)

Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience – Required

Travel Experience : Preferred

Charting System : Epic – Required (must have recent experience)

Patient Ratio Experience : Labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care – Required

Teaching Hospital Experience : Preferred

Local Radius Rule : Locals – Not Accepted (see AMC’s ineligible counties list)
