Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in the Lenoir, NC area for the upcoming school year. This role offers the chance to foster growth and learning in students with diverse educational needs, collaborating closely with a supportive team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique learning requirements.
  • Provide specialized instruction and interventions to support academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff to create inclusive and supportive learning environments.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet evolving needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational regulations.

Qualifications :

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Patience, creativity, and commitment to student success.
  • Ability to adapt instructional methods to individual learning styles.
