Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) is committed to protecting the public by providing safe and effective individualized services to youth who will become productive law-abiding citizens. We are seeking a licensed and experienced professional to serve as Social Worker 5-A providing advanced clinical services to youth in secure care settings. This role involves direct therapeutic engagement case management and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to support rehabilitation emotional well-being and successful reintegration. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical expertise cultural competence and a deep commitment to trauma-informed and youth-centered care.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus :
A masters degree in social work followed by four years of social services experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties :
Provide individual and group counseling to youth using evidence-based practices
Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with facility staff families and external providers to coordinate care
Monitor progress and adjust interventions to meet evolving needs
Document services and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with agency standards
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to case planning
Advocate for youth needs and support their transition to community-based services
