Senior AI Software Engineer

We are actively seeking experienced engineers who have successfully built and deployed AI systems in production to help design and implement advanced AI features that elevate our core offerings. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to create seamless AI-enhanced experiences, including vector-driven search, predictive suggestions, and intelligent automation. Our focus is to ensure that Linear remains swift, intuitive, and thoughtfully designed, even with the integration of AI.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop AI-driven product features that are native, responsive, and enjoyable for users.

Collaborate with product and design teams to prototype and iterate on intelligent workflows and user interactions.

Create backend services to support natural language interfaces, smart suggestions, and automated tasks.

Optimize prompts, refine model behavior, and assess system performance.

Guide the development of our agent platform, integrating third-party agents into the Linear experience.

Contribute to the architecture for AI integration infrastructure that prioritizes reliability and privacy.

Technology Stack :

TypeScript and Node.js for backend services.

GraphQL APIs and WebSocket technology for real-time synchronization.

Public and private AI models; utilizing temporal solutions for asynchronous workloads.

Postgres, Redis, and Turbopuffer for storage and caching solutions.

Deployed on Google Cloud using Kubernetes.

Familiarity with GitHub, Slack, and Notion is preferred.
