Must-Have : Current supervisory references. Proof of required certifications upon submission. Pass clinical review. Ability to circulate and provide newborn care, including eye safety and vitamin K injections. Experience in high-risk obstetrics. Must be willing to float to postpartum and antepartum units. Description : Candidates will support labor and delivery for high-risk and high-volume patients. This unit handles a diverse array of midwifery clients and private obstetrical practices. Candidates must be capable of functioning as a baby nurse during delivery and providing care until the newborn is transferred to postpartum. Advanced skills required include the ability to assist with vaginal deliveries and perform cesarean sections. Daily average census is 15, with 500-600 deliveries each month. The facility has a total of 31 delivery rooms and beds. Candidates must have experience with EHR systems, preferably Epic. Staffing will follow established guidelines to ensure patient safety and quality care. Job requires working every other weekend and holidays as needed. Additional responsibilities will include providing support for antenatal and postpartum care interventions. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be prepared for a flexible schedule to meet patient care needs. Pre-approved time off will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Teamwork and collaboration with other healthcare staff are crucial in this fast-paced environment.
