Job descriptionLabor and Delivery unit in a hospital LDRP setting Cares for L&D, postpartum and newborn patients Average of 50 births per month in an 8-room unit Patient population includes neonates, infants, and adults Night shift schedule : three 12-hour shifts from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 00 am Every other weekend is required Uses Meditech and IntelliSpace Perinatal documentation systems Pyxis medication system and SBAR communication protocol Scrubs are provided Local candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility Responsibilities include labor assessment, assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, newborn and postpartum care, medication administration, discharge teaching, and use of isolation precautions Cross-training provided for care of L&D, postpartum and newborns Must be able to educate parents on newborn and postpartum care Night shift position with provided scrubs Active NY RN license in hand Current certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Minimum of 2 years Labor & Delivery RN experience required Skills needed include LDRP, mother / baby care, triage, sterile vaginal exams, external fetal monitoring, IV therapy, newborn assessments, and postpartum care Experience with Meditech and IntelliSpace Perinatal charting preferred Must not be a first time traveler High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
