About The Position

Are you a motivated Dental Assistant eager to contribute to community health? Exciting opportunity available with the Marion County Health Department to support dental services across clinics and schools. This role offers flexibility with full-time or part-time schedules, allowing you to balance work and personal commitments while making an impact. You’ll work in a dynamic environment, either at the Marion County Health Department or at elementary school sites, delivering essential dental care and education to children.

Required Skills :

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, with knowledge of dental procedures and equipment

Proficiency in using EagleSoft or similar dental software

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have Skills :

Experience working in school-based dental programs

Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish

Preferred Education and Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent; Dental Assisting certification preferred

Prior experience in a clinical or school setting

Other Requirements :

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including riding with a state employee in a state vehicle

Willingness to work flexible days and hours, with some assignments at school sites

Must adhere to dress code in scrubs and maintain professional standards
