Salary : What is your role?

As a Senior VFX Artistat Eleventh Hour Games, you will create visually striking, performant, and gameplay-readable effects that enhance the world and combat ofLast Epoch. Youll contribute to the artistic and technical vision of our effects while collaborating closely with the Lead VFX Artist, Art Direction, and Design teams.

This role is hands-on, requiring a strong artistic eye, a deep understanding of real-time VFX pipelines, and the ability to translate gameplay and environmental needs into dynamic, memorable visuals. You will also provide feedback to peers, help refine our workflows, and support the continued evolution of the VFX discipline at EHG.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and implement real-time particle effects for gameplay, environments, and cinematics using 2D and 3D elements.
• Author and paint particle, decal, and material textures (color, normal, specular, emissive, etc.).
• Build simple geometry with correct UVs for VFX use.
• Collaborate with Design, Art, and Engineering to ensure effects enhance gameplay clarity and visual identity.
• Place and tune VFX throughout environments, encounters, and cutscenes to support player experience.
• Optimize effects for performance and readability without sacrificing artistic quality.
• Maintain consistent visual style and quality while contributing creative solutions to technical challenges.
• Provide peer feedback and support documentation or process improvements for the VFX pipeline.
