A leading national contractor specializing in heavy civil, industrial, and energy infrastructure is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to join its Houston-based team. The company operates across multiple sectors including Oil & Gas, Renewables, Railroad, and Commercial / Industrial and is known for its hands-on, growth-oriented culture built on accountability and long-term career development.
Position Overview
This role works directly under the Director of Business Development, supporting client outreach, proposal coordination, and relationship-building efforts. Its designed for a high-potential professional who wants to learn the business from the ground up and grow into a future leadership or project management position.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Director of Business Development in daily client and project activities.
Identify and develop new client relationships and strategic partnerships.
Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and client meetings.
Collaborate with estimating and project management teams on proposals and bids.
Maintain and track opportunities within Salesforce and other CRM / reporting tools.
Assist with marketing and communication initiatives tied to business development.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
13 years of experience in construction, civil, or industrial sectors (preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; confident engaging with executives and clients.
Coachable, driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, no-micromanagement environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce experience is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary : $60,000$80,000
Uncapped, performance-based bonuses (paid biannually).
