Job Description :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Claims Processor to join a local Lafayette team. As a Claims Processor specializing in medical claims, you will be responsible for accurately processing and adjudicating claims while ensuring compliance with coding standards and insurance guidelines.

  • Pay :
  • $17-18 / hour
  • Schedule :
  • Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Responsibilities :

  • Process medical claims accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and benefits eligibility.
  • Apply appropriate coding for claim adjudication.
  • Resolve discrepancies and communicate claim status.

    • Qualifications :

  • Previous medical claims processing experience required.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in CPT, HCPCS, ADA, and ICD coding.
  • Ability to understand and apply insurance benefits.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Prior healthcare administration or insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Medical coding certification (e.g., CPC, CCS) a plus.
