About The Position

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Louisiana. This opportunity starts on Jan 1, 2026, and spans 120 days. The schedule includes a mix of day, mid, and night shifts across weekdays and weekends. The facility manages an annual volume of approximately 27,400 patients, averaging about 75 per day. This role is ideal for board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine specialists who are residency trained and ready to provide high-quality acute care in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions
  • Work collaboratively with advanced practice providers and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Manage an average daily volume of 75 patients in a high-acuity setting
  • Adhere to facility protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
  • Participate in shift hand-offs and departmental meetings as needed
  • Additional Information

  • Must be board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Emergency Medicine residency training required
  • Louisiana medical license required
  • ATLS and ACLS not required for EM-boarded physicians
