Job descriptionWork as a float RN in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical (MS) units within a hospital May float to any PCU or MS unit every 4 hours according to staffing needs May be required to float to Inpatient Rehab unit Night shifts with 3x12 hour (6 : 45pm-7 : 15am) or 4x12 hour options available upon request Patient ratios are 5 : 1 for PCU and 6-7 : 1 for MS units Epic EMR experience is required Travelers may be pulled or floated frequently based on hospital-wide staffing needs Holiday coverage is required for at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, and two holidays for winter assignment (Thanksgiving, Christmas / Christmas Eve, NYE / New Years) Christmas time-off requests cannot be approved Candidates residing within 100 miles are considered local and not accepted except specified 13-week assignment exceptions for 50-99.9 miles and Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler Facility policy does not allow travelers to return after working 365 days on assignment, exceptions reviewed case by case New staff will complete modules and orientation, with up to 5 hours for general modules and 2 hours for Epic Active VA or compact RN license required Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required Must have experience in both PCU and MS units Epic charting experience required Candidates must submit all requested time off (RTO) up front Two professional references required at time of consideration Must provide a copy of driver’s license and social security card High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
