We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in Shreveport, Louisiana. Responsibilities :
- Handle administrative and clerical tasks to support the Accounts Payable and Finance Department.
- Perform daily financial processes with accuracy and timeliness, adhering to company policies.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to internal business partners.
- Assist with both internal and external audits as needed.
- Manage incoming mail by sorting, opening, and distributing it within the department.
- Organize and maintain records, including sorting, logging, photocopying, and filing invoices and checks.
- Verify and process checks, including coordinating expedited handling when required.
- Contribute to special projects as assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle interruptions and shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with both technical and financial teams.
- Knowledge of accounts payable functions, including account coding, invoice processing, ACH transactions, and check runs.
