Summary: Responsible for performing facilities related tasks to maintain building, building systems, and grounds. Provide in-house calibration service to all departments to ensure reduction in downtime and high equipment efficiency.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on all equipment associated with building and grounds.
• Provide timely and accurate calibrations of all equipment associated with the calibration schedule.
• Maintain and document results of calibrations in calibration database.
• Maintain building and grounds systems, including normal repair and landscaping management.
• Document any facilities service requests in a timely manner.
• Execute facilities service requests in a timely manner.
• Perform emergency and/or detailed custodial duties.
• Maintain adequate distribution of custodial supplies.
• Serve as an active member of the Safety Committee and correct safety related matters around facility.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Facilities & Metrology Manager.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years maintenance/electronics experience.
• High technical background and ability to understand electronic operations.
• OSHA training preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service orientation along with solid analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good verbal and written skills.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and able to work within a flexible work schedule to provide support as required.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to continuously seek improvements to facilities, calibration, and safety program.
• Must have knowledge in the use of all shop and measuring equipment and power tools.
• Knowledge of building systems, i.e. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and compressed air preferred.
