Area IV Agency On Aging Program Director
Rocky Mountain Development Council, Inc. is recruiting for an Area IV Agency on Aging Program Director. The annual salary is $61,505.00 plus Rocky's generous benefit package. Rocky's Agency on Aging Program Director leads the Area IV network of employees, contractors, and volunteers providing Older American Act (OAA) and other services to older adults, people with disabilities, and their family and friend caregivers residing in Broadwater, Gallatin, Lewis and Clark, Jefferson, Meagher, and Park Counties. The Program Director ensures that Rocky Aging builds choice, dignity, and engagement of older adults in partnership with the communities of the six-county service area. Responsibilities include the network's overall planning, development, and implementation including following the priorities established in federal and state rules, the Montana State Plan for Aging, the Area IV Four-year Strategic Plan, and budgets. The Program Director engages in public policy development and compliance through USAging and the Montana Association of Area Agencies on Aging. This position directs and supervises seven (7) staff members.

Education and Experience : The above knowledge, skills and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a human service field, with some course work in the program administrative area. Three years' experience working with senior citizens' programs and two years of program administration and supervision is preferred. Must have a reliable vehicle with current driver's license and be approved as a driver by Rocky's insurance carrier as outlined in Rocky's Driving and Vehicle Usage Policy. Occasional travel in hazardous weather conditions may be required. Must pass a criminal background check and be available for some out of town / county / state travel.
