WHAT YOU WILL DO :

The Program Therapist is an exempt position responsible for clinical programming of the Adult Residential Treatment and Stabilization (ARTS) Program, including, but not limited to, client well-being. The position will coordinate the overall delivery of psychosocial rehabilitation services related to client treatment plans.

• Provide individual and group services to ARTS residents.
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments of ARTS clients after admission to develop an initial treatment plan, begin individualized therapy, and begin discharge planning.
• Oversee treatment of ARTS clients; review and update treatment plans, observation frequencies, and case staffing to include input from multidisciplinary team (Therapist, LPN, MHT, Psychiatric Healthcare Provider, Case Management, and Program Director as needed).
• Maintain ongoing awareness of the client’s whereabouts, including outings, weekend passes, and medical appointments.
• Maintain concise and timely completion of all paperwork or clinical documentation utilizing the agency's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, including but not limited to progress notes, treatment plans, and summaries for external providers.
• Engage clients in supportive activities to strengthen skills and progress toward their discharge goals, including setting up life skills activities with master's-level interns, encouraging healthy activities of daily living (ADLs), and facilitating monthly community meetings.
• Attend and assist with monthly staff meetings and funder meetings when required.
• Assist with responding to emergencies and provide crisis intervention.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Program Director.

Must hold a Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following disciplines : Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Social Work

A Florida Registered Intern License is preferred but not required.

Gulf Coast JFCS will provide free clinical supervision by a Florida-qualified supervisor to assist in obtaining Florida licensure
