Director of Social Services

The Pearl at Fort Lauderdale Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is currently looking for a highly experienced Director of Social work to join their team of dedicated professionals.

As the Social Work Director you will determine the long range and short range goals for residents of facility as related to their social, emotional and financial needs.

Director of Social Services   Responsibilities : :

• Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e. physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in planning social services programs.
• Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to plan social services programs for residents with the following needs : therapeutic, neurological and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, and infectious diseases if applicable.
• Promptly follows-up on admission inquiries, evaluates and assesses the needs of prospective residents to determine appropriateness of facility placement
