About The Position

Must-Have : Cath lab experience, scrub experience, preferred IR experience

Description : Unit has 3 suites.

Technologists and nurses must have ACLS and BLS certifications.

ARRT certification is required.

Scrub experience is needed.

An average of 8-10 cases is performed daily.

The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.

Charge nurse is present on the unit.

Weekend and call requirements are mandatory.

Technologists are required to be on call for two weekends per month, from 6 : 30 am to 6 : 30 am, with 24-hour call coverage.

Evening call for technologists is required 1-2 times per week, with a response time of 30 minutes after the regular shift ends.

Technologists must cover holidays, which include one major and one minor holiday.

Scrub color is provided.

The equipment used includes GE MacLab for telemonitoring.

Cardiologists are available on call 24 / 7.

Radiology and pharmacy services are available 24 / 7.

Shifts typically run from 6 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm, with call team coverage as needed after the shift.

Floating is not required.

A one-shift orientation on the unit is provided.

Common cases include both left and right heart catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, pacemaker and defibrillator insertions, as well as interventional radiology procedures such as PICC line placements and central line insertions.

Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Prior travel experience is preferred.

Candidates are required to have cath lab experience, and IR experience is ideal but not mandatory.

Cancellation policy allows the facility to cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment.

The charting system utilized is Cerner.

A BSN degree is not required.
