CVOR RN Job Details

Location : Albuquerque, NM 87106

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 15 / 2025 – End : 3 / 16 / 2026)

Facility Type : Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital, Children’s Hospital, Short-term Acute Care

Shift : 4x10-hour day shifts (07 : 00 – 17 : 30)

Hours per Week : 40

On-Call : 7-10 shifts per month

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week (facility may call off up to 3 times during the assignment)

Patient Ratio : 1 : 1

Charting System : Cerner EMR

Scrub Color : Provided

Parking : Free onsite parking

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted at submission)

Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing experience

Level I Trauma experience required

Circulating experience in cardiac and vascular surgeries required

BCLS certification (no RQI certifications accepted)

Proficiency with cardiac and vascular procedures

No local candidates within 75 miles of Albuquerque, NM

COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions accepted with documentation)

Ability to complete compliance requirements promptly

CVOR RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, maintaining a 1 : 1 patient ratio

Circulate and assist in a range of cardiac and vascular surgeries, including :

Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)

Valve replacements (mitral, aortic)

Endovascular and open aneurysm repairs

Carotid endarterectomy and stenting

Femoral-popliteal bypass grafts

Hybrid OR procedures

Trauma cases (gunshot, stab wounds, multiple injuries)

Thoracic surgeries (lung resection, VATS, TAVR, TEVAR)

Participate in on-call rotation (7-10 shifts / month) as required

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Accurately document care in Cerner EMR

Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols
