Description :

The position involves working in an intensive care unit that provides care to critically ill patients.

Candidates will be pre-screened for clinical fit and will undergo further review to ensure adherence to guidelines.

The unit specializes in postoperative cardiothoracic and cardiovascular care.

Nurses will work with patients 18 years or older who are recovering from major surgeries.

Key responsibilities include invasive monitoring and managing ventilated patients.

Experience in advanced cardiac life support, pacemaker management, and other critical care procedures is essential.

Nurses will be expected to float to other ICU and medical-surgical floors as necessary.

The unit cares for a daily average census of approximately 8-9 patients, with a focus on cardiac surgical recovery.

COVID-19 patient care may be required.

The facility promotes a tobacco and fragrance-free environment and expects compliance.

Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Teamwork across disciplines and adherence to safety protocols are crucial for this role.

Flexibility in scheduling is required, including possible overlap with other nursing units.
