Steward Compliance Operations Manager Responsible to safeguard Bayer's License to Operate (LTO) by meeting or exceeding regulatory compliance, stewardship, and trait quality requirements through implementation, monitoring, and improvement of sustainable quality processes which drive functional excellence and enable business agility.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Leadership and oversight to ensure compliance to applicable requirements for shipping, handling, release, and processing of confined material (biotech traits and experimental pesticide treatments), inside a Quality Management System.
  • Serve as responsible Subject Matter Expert for Stewardship, Regulatory Compliance, and Trait Quality;
  • Serve as North America Compliance Committee Functional Compliance Lead (FCL) and represent NA Product Supply in cross-functional compliance initiatives.
  • Support the organization in design and implementation of initiatives, programs and regulations with regard to Stewardship, Compliance, and Trait Quality according to statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate incident management and implementation of mitigation measures.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to simplify and / or automate current processes and implement new processes and tools to improve stewardship and compliance outcomes.
  • Develop training material and implement training strategies and delivery.
  • Engage in development and implementation of sustainable IT systems to capture and monitor compliance activity partnership with IT and Regulatory Drives Product Supply internal Field Inspection Program management, conduct, and reporting to enable continuous improvement.
  • Support preparation, conduct and follow-up of US Regulatory Authority Inspections (USDA, EPA, FDA)
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to automate current processes, and implement new processes and tools for stewardship and compliance
  • Conduct Stewardship risk assessments / Management of Change, external partner reviews, stewardship plan and stewardship contract addendum review.
  • Travel up to 30% to seed production sites within United States and Canada

Who You Are

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following :

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, Chemistry, Agronomy or related field with 10 + years' experience in seed industry and trait / quality management
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in similar disciplines preferred.
  • In-field trial planning, regulatory compliance (chemistry / seeds & traits), trait quality, molecular laboratory experience, or similar applicable experience.
  • Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $104,101.60 - $156,152.40. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data / ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
