The PACU nurse evaluates plans, implements, and documents nursing care, assessment for pain, maintains hemodynamic and neurological stability, and maintains a patent airway. Due to the possibility of rapid changes in a patient's physiological condition, PACU RNs are required to administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment.\n\nDirect care staff are required to complete all Hip and Knee Replacement Program curriculum and annual education module(s) assigned.\n\nJob Requirements\n\nEducation\n\nRequired : Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program\nPreferred : Bachelor's Degree in Nursing\n\nExperience\n\nPreferred : Previous nursing experience\n\nSkills\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nDemonstrate effective leadership abilities\nExhibits valuable time management skills\nStrong critical thinking / problem solving skills.\nFlexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.\n\nLicensure / Certification / Registration\n\nRequired : RN license active in the state of Missouri\nRequired : BLS must be obtained within 90 days\nACLS must be obtained within one year of hire\nPALS must be obtained within one year of hireEducation : Required : Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program Preferred : Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Experience : Preferred : Previous nursing experience Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate effective leadership abilities Exhibits valuable time management skills Strong critical thinking / problem solving skills.
