Channel Business Manager - Special Markets (Zippo Manufacturing Company)
The CBM role specializes in Custom Products within Special Markets, Corporate Gift, Brand Collaboration, and Dispensary channels. The CBM will directly manage Zippo accounts and / or assist outside sales agencies with new and existing customers. This includes pitching programs to buyers, negotiating pricing, and facilitating all program details.
Responsibilities
- Establish, manage, develop, and maintain strong, positive business relationships with existing and new accounts.
- Responsible for account profitability and taking action to maximize profitability for Zippo by coop planning, assortment planning, minimization of chargebacks, and optimal freight management.
- Identify key retail accounts across channels for potential new distribution.
- Identify business structure around new business opportunities (contact names, buying cycles, merchandising requirements, marketing tools, etc.).
- Conduct follow-up meetings with customers to review performance of current programs and strategize expansion.
- Recommend product assortments and develop custom programs as needed.
- Visit stores to assess competitive marketplace, opportunities with new chains, and best practices for point-of-purchase and displays.
- Learn and master retailer reporting tools and supplier websites.
- Forecast account sales to maximize order fill rates and on-time delivery.
- Use business analytics to maximize sales by coordinating with replenishment managers to ensure appropriate store-level inventory.
- Attend corporate sales meetings as needed and serve on strategic planning committees.
- Manage leads database and use software to maintain a pipeline of new leads.
- Overnight domestic travel required up to 25%.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and / or 2 years of inside / outside sales experience (preferably in CPG).Experience calling on both retailers and wholesale customers.Demonstrated ability to achieve sales and profitability goals.Business math skills (understanding margins, mark-up, etc.).Understanding of account buying cycles, margin expectations, and sell-through.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to travel and work outside of regular hours.Preferred remote location near a major airport hub.This role is salaried exempt, on-site position in Bradford, PA, preferred. Remote may be considered.
