As a Business Risk Manager within Capital One's Enterprise Services Risk organization, your role will be pivotal. Your Responsibilities Will Include :
Building strong relationships with teams across Investments, Product, Data, and others to understand the risk implications on business processes.Conducting risk reviews during processes such as Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSAs) and Process Level Assessments (PLA) to recommend risk mitigation activities.Influencing leaders within various departments on key technology risks and necessary actions.Conducting periodic risk reviews with executives and supporting reporting efforts for risk metrics.Developing detailed risk analyses and driving initiatives aimed at minimizing risk and enhancing control effectiveness.Designing and supporting internal risk and control governance processes.Identifying and implementing continuous risk program enhancements aligned with industry standards and best practices.Contributing innovative ideas to support the Enterprise Services Risk organization.Basic Qualifications :
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.At least 4 years of experience in the Financial Services or Technology industry.At least 4 years of experience in project, program, process, or risk management.A minimum of 4 years facilitating and leading discussions across various disciplines.Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience.Knowledge of the UK and US regulatory environments.5+ years of experience in risk management, technology, or a related field.At least 5 years of experience managing highly cross-functional programs.5 years of consulting experience with senior executives and strategic development.5 years of experience supporting business clients with a strong understanding of Investment, Product, and Data risk.Experience in controls development, management, and risk reporting activities.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication skills to confidently interact with and lead meetings at all levels.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to respond effectively to changing priorities.This position will not provide sponsorship for employment authorization.
The salary range for this role in Chicago, IL is $144,000 - $164,400; in McLean, VA is $158,400 - $180,800; in New York, NY is $172,800 - $197,200; in Plano, TX is $144,000 - $164,400; in Richmond, VA is $144,000 - $164,400; and in Wilmington, DE is $144,000 - $164,400. Actual salary will be discussed during the offer process. This role is also eligible for performance-based compensation, including bonuses and long-term incentives.
