ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Registered Nurse - MS / Tele - Inpatient Rehabilitation

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts : 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) with weekend coverage every third weekend, and float required between all campuses if needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the MS / Tele unit provides specialized care for patients requiring inpatient rehabilitation. This role involves caring for patients with neurological diagnoses, including stroke (CVA), traumatic brain injury (TBI), acquired brain injury (ABI), spinal cord injury, and generalized debility. The RN will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess patients' health conditions, including vital signs and laboratory results.
  • Administer medications and manage IV therapies as prescribed.
  • Perform patient health assessments and develop care plans in collaboration with the care team.
  • Provide patient education regarding care plans and rehabilitation goals.
  • Effectively communicate with interdisciplinary team members regarding patient status and care needs.
  • Conduct dressing changes and assist with sterile procedures.
  • Facilitate discharge planning in coordination with social services and other team members.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a rehabilitation or acute care setting.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
  • Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
  • Certification in interpretation of laboratory results and medication reconciliation is preferred.
  • Prior experience with trauma level II patients is preferred.

  • Daily census : 39 patients
  • Total number of beds in the unit : 49
  • Patient ratio : 1 : 6 for days, nights, and weekends.
