As a Career Consultant at Epic Enterprise, you will help people discover employment opportunities in the community that align with their skills and interests; in turn, this helps businesses broaden and diversify their talent pool and helps our society at large raise expectations for people living with disabilities and mental health challenges. Responsibilities:

Heres what you can expect while working as a Career Consultant:

• Every day, you will make a difference in someones life. When people go to work, it provides them with income, helps them connect socially and, for many, a job gives them purpose.
• You will work with people with a range of life experiences that may include mental health challenges, emotional, physical, or intellectual developmental disabilities.
• You will work in-person; spending time getting to know people and their community, going out to businesses for informational meetings, tours, and interviews.
• You will use your creativity to identify opportunities for people to demonstrate their skills and interests, then find careers where they can do more of what they love.
• You will provide initial job coaching as needed to encourage success on the job by facilitating the development of individuals natural support at work.
• You may transport individuals to and from work and other community locations as needed, using a company vehicle whenever possible.
• Create and update records and reports on progress.
• The position includes completing 245D paperwork, attending individuals meetings and becoming a valued member of their team.

Requirements:

• This position is independent and requires effective problem solving, communication, initiative and relationship building with individuals and employers.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• The ability and flexibility to work collaboratively with a variety of team members.
• Good customer service skills.
• Comply with and pass Department of Human Services (DHS) background check which may include fingerprinting.
• Have a valid drivers license.
• Pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check.
• While most weeks Career Consultants are working Monday-Friday from 8a-5p, the work schedule will include occasional evenings or weekends based on customer needs. Must be flexible to attend meetings and training as required.
  
• GED or high school diploma required, BA or BS preferred to meet Designated Coordinator status

Starting wage:$19 - $22 per hour.

• Some business experience preferred.
