National Accounts Auditor
We are in search of a National Account Auditor who is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of invoicing and billing activities for national account customers. This role supports both internal audit functions and key national accounts by reviewing complex billing transactions, verifying compliance with contracts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of compliance standards, financial auditing, and national account management processes.
Responsibilities Include :
- Examine invoices, credit memos, and related documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies, customer contracts, and regulatory standards.
- Match invoices to purchase orders, service agreements, and delivery confirmations to ensure proper billing.
- Validate supporting documentation and confirm pricing, tax, and discount accuracy.
Compliance & Audit Support :
Conduct routine and ad-hoc audits of national account billing to identify compliance gaps and ensure adherence to internal controls and contract terms.Support internal and external audit requests by gathering, organizing, and presenting documentation and reconciliations.Discrepancy Investigation & Resolution :
Research and resolve discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and delivery or service records.Collaborate with national account managers, procurement, finance, and vendor partners to correct issues and prevent recurrence.Document findings and corrective actions in audit logs or issue-tracking systems.Reporting & Data Analysis :
Prepare detailed reports summarizing audit results, trends, and financial impacts.Identify recurring issues or process weaknesses and recommend improvements to strengthen accuracy and compliance.Provide periodic updates to management on key audit metrics and findings.National Account Support :
Serve as a compliance and audit liaison for national accounts, ensuring customer-specific billing requirements and service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.Partner with national account teams to review large or complex accounts for compliance with contract pricing, terms, and negotiated rebates.Support account renewals and client reviews by providing accurate financial summaries and historical audit data.Process Improvement :
Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve invoice accuracy, strengthen internal controls, and enhance compliance oversight.Participate in developing and updating standard operating procedures for billing and audit processes.The Ideal Candidate Will Have :
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).24 years of experience in auditing, accounting, compliance, or billing analysis; experience supporting national or key accounts preferred.Proficiency with ERP systems.Familiarity with internal controls, contract compliance, and audit methodologies.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Strong analytical and investigative skills.Clear and professional communication with internal teams and external customers.Proactive problem-solving and ability to manage multiple priorities.Commitment to integrity, confidentiality, and compliance best practices.Compensation & Benefits :
