Summary
The Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection Field Service Technicians (FST) are required to provide World Class support to our customers through start-ups, audits, maintenance, repair, and training of Safeline X-Ray, Safeline Metal Detectors, Hi-Speed Checkweighers, or CI Vision machines. PI FST's are responsible for managing all aspects of field service support including the following : communications between customers and the service department, effective scheduling, detailed preparation of written reports and documentation, and maintenance of job assignments, while always keeping in mind to follow MT PI procedures and best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Satisfy all Safety Requirements for both MT-PI and Customer Sites
- Attend tier calls led by a Regional Service Manager
- Efficiently execute scheduled service calls as directed from Dispatch or Management while taking into account cost, time, and customer needs / expectations
- Develop and maintain good customer relationships; Become the customer's trusted advisor
- Identify root cause of service issues (first time fix)
- Accurately complete and submit all service reports and documentation per service activity, timesheets, and expense reports in a timely manner
- Keep up with ongoing technical training
- Weekend / afterhours work as required based on workload and rotation
- Maintain company supplied equipment, tools, and inventory

Education
High School Diploma or GED requiredAssociate's degree in Electronics or Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience preferred.Experience & Skills
