Key Responsibilities :
Shipping and Receiving :
- Manage shipping and receiving operations across the company, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials and equipment.
- Evaluate arriving shipments for over, short, damaged and misdirected / astray cargo and initiate appropriate reports and claims.
- Ensure compliance with all hazmat regulations for shipping and handling of materials.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and internal teams to streamline and improve logistics processes.
Inventory Management :
Manage inventory systems and collaborate across multiple sites, ensuring accuracy of inventory (to include shelf-life inspections) through auditing, reporting, cycle counts, training and process improvement.Work with Operations and Manufacturing to ensure inventory on-hand meets production schedules.Develop and implement on-site transportation and replenishment processes to support manufacturing.Transportation Management :
Manage 3PL providers to ensure delivery of goods across the company, to and from multiple X-Bow sites.Dispatch CDL drivers for transportation needs, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Optimize transportation schedules to meet project deadlines and reduce costs.Monitor and maintain transportation equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency.Logistics Oversight :
Collaborate with logistics staff to develop and implement logistics strategies to support company operations and growth.Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries and inventory movements.Support site teams and corporate leadership to align logistics operations with company goals.Team Leadership :
Advise and mentor logistics staff at multiple sites, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications :
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, transportation, or supply chain operations.Technical Skills :
Proficiency in logistics software and tools for tracking shipments and managing transportation schedules.Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and transportation processes.Experience managing Logistics operations in a highly-regulated manufacturing environment.Experience with ATF compliance a plus.Experience dispatching CDL drivers and managing transportation equipment.Leadership and Problem-Solving :
Proven ability to lead and manage logistics processes in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to identify and implement process improvements.Will report to the Logistics Manager.Negotiate all carrier rates and manage carrier accounts.Manage 3PLsDo all dispatching and traffic management for all shipments.Manage all DOT driver dispatch and compliance.Job Posted by ApplicantPro
