Job Title : Production Technician
Pay Rate : $17 / hr.
Shift : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM (no weekends)

Position Overview : Set up, charge ingredients, operate and tend equipment that mixes or blends dry and / or liquid ingredients used in manufacturing products and keep records regarding these processes as specified by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Follow applicable SOPs for Sanitization and housekeeping. Complete all tasks to ensure adherence to the client quality and Food Safety standards.This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Essential Job Functions
- Set up, operate and tend equipment that mixes or blends ingredients according to batch production records.
- Receive and measure or weigh ingredients using English or metric measurements and scales.
- Accurately and legibly record all documentation required to ensure completed Batch Production and Control Records (BPR) including but not limited to Master Manufacturing Records, Packaging Component Worksheet, Blend Reconciliation Sheet, Repack / Re-label / Special Instruction Sheet, Label Control Sheet and Batch Comments Sheet.
- Package all finished products according to the BPR and apply appropriate Labels.
- Operate forklift, adhere to forklift safety rules.
- Foam, Clean and Sanitize the food processing areas according to the applicable sanitization SOPs.
- Follow all SOPs, cGMPs and the HACCP plan to assure adherence to the client Quality and Food Safety and Defense Standards.
- Carry out housekeeping duties as assigned by Operations Manager.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and Chemical Handling SOPs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate with Supervisors, Peers and Management to detect problems in and to ensure Food Safety and Defense.

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.Other Skills / Abilities
Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching; heavy lifting and moving of objects up to 50 pounds.Clear written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of cGMPs and general OSHA regulations.#IND-M
