Registered Nurse (RN) - Part Time (24 hours) - 11pm - 7 : 30am

Each unit utilizes a team nursing approach to care for our patients. Nurses work in collaboration with the therapeutic teams in order to provide the highest standard of care for our patients. Our Registered Nurses perform therapeutic measures prescribed and delegated by the physician, consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice for Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.\n\nRegistered Nurse Essential Duties\n

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of patients, develop and implement nursing care plans, maintain medical records and educate patients and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.\n
• Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice as defined within the state Nurse Practice Act regulations, policies, procedures and protocols, as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures.\n
• Ensure each patient's status is assessed on an ongoing basis and pertinent information gathered is documented\n
• Notify physicians of significant changes in status such as difficulties with detox, medical emergency or change in medical status regarding response to medications, etc.\n
• Ensure nursing treatment plans are specific to assessed needs and initial treatment plans are completed upon admission\n
• Administer medications per doctor ordered note and document count of controlled substance medication administration on required documents\n
• Complete admission and discharge processes\n
• Exhibit therapeutic rapport with patients by maintaining professional boundaries, being respectful to personal space, giving patients direct attention and maintaining rational detachment\n
• Provide direction or coordinate the activities of the unit\n
• Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers and others involved in patient treatment in an effective manner\n\nThe Expertise And Skills You Bring\n\nEducation : Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.\n\nExperience : Ideal candidates are passionate about Haverhill Pavilion's mission, behavioral health, and are driven by the purpose to be of assistance to our patients.
