Job Description: Title: Part-Time Day Cleaner

General Summary: The College is seeking part-time day cleaners to provide support on the Lowell or Bedford campus with ongoing maintenance, quick cleanups, and customer-facing tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, and entrances.
- Clean spills, trash, and high-traffic areas as needed throughout the day
- Empty trash and recycling bins
- Spot cleaning floors, windows, walls, and surfaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum or wax floors as needed
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment
- Restock restroom and cleaning supplies
- Reporting maintenance issues (leaks, broken fixtures, safety hazards)
- Follow proper procedures for use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Maintain professional conduct and customer service when interacting with staff and visitors
- Work independently and manage time effectively
- Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements: - High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior janitorial, custodial, or maintenance experience (helpful but not required)
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to bend, kneel, lift, and carry (often up to 25-50 lbs).
- Capability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
- Attention to detail.
Additional Information: Salary Range: $17.75 per hour in accordance with Middlesex Community College Part-Time Wage Schedule
.Location: Lowell or Bedford campus with occasional travel to the other campus as needed.
Hours: 20 hours per week, schedule to be determined upon hire
Expected Start Date: February 2026
