This is a full-time on-site role for a Police Officer located in Beatrice, NE. The Police Officer will be responsible for maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, conducting criminal investigations, collecting and preserving evidence, and responding to emergency situations. Additional duties include patrolling assigned areas, preparing reports, and appearing in court as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must reach the age of 21 years prior to completion of the Basic and Reciprocity Certification Training and be a U.S. citizen.
• No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record.
• Must meet all of the entrance requirements for the Nebraska law enforcement training center.
• Possession and maintenance of a Nebraska State certification as a law enforcement officer as prescribed by Nebraska State Statutes through graduation from the Nebraska law enforcement training center, within one (1) year of employment.
• College-level coursework in Criminal Justice, Law, Public or Business Administration, Social Studies, or related field is preferred. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
