Description :

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Psych Services department is an essential member of the patient care team.

This role is responsible for direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all assigned areas.

The RN will develop and periodically update individualized, interdisciplinary plans of care.

They will evaluate patient outcomes and identify available resources for patients.

The Crisis Psychiatric Unit provides care to patients age 5 and up with psychiatric illnesses.

Some patients may also have a need for medical care.

The most frequent psychiatric diagnoses include major depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorder, and psychotic disorders.

Patients who are in need of detoxification also make up part of the clientele.

Candidates must be excellent team players.

They should be able to manage stress appropriately and make decisions under pressure.

Flexibility is required to provide coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered.
